New House- Willistown, PA

A small tower marks the main entrance through a cloistered courtyard, with entry pavilion and covered walk. The entrance to the house beyond is marked by another tower. Deep porches are a reminder of the owner's native South Carolina. Inside, exposed wood beams, wood floors and interior detailing reflect local vernacular Chester County structures. Salvaged stone and timber from local barns, and the copper standing-seam roofs tie the house to the area's history, such as the colonial farms at nearby Valley Forge.
