This mainline residence was completely demolished down to the foundation which was salvaged to provide the base for this new home. The use of limestone on the house and in the extensive gardens combined with a sandblasted stucco finish detailed with beautiful handmade ironwork provides an old world feeling. The windows, doors and flooring were made locally using salvaged materials. Although it has an old world feeling the house benefits from the latest technology in the use of a boiler based radiant floor heat system, steam humidification and a home automation system.
