A small 18th Century farmhouse with an incredible view of a nearby waterfall was the starting point for this intensive renovation/addition to the farmhouse, barn and pond. Faithful attention was paid to architectural details of three periods during the design and construction. The intent was to correctly replicate 18th, 19th and 20th century additions down to the most finite details. Extensive use of salvaged materials such as flooring, doors, mantles, glass, handmade iron and brass hardware, paneling, plumbing fixtures and framing were combined with a “green approach” to the new materials used.
